Recent Awards & Recognition
We are pleased to share that three of Patricia's latest works have received special recognition in national and international competitions. The first, titled "Devoted Companions," has been named a finalist in the Art Renewal Center's (ARC) prestigious International Salon Competition. (The painting was selected out of over 5,400 entries from 75 countries.) The second, titled "Insouciance," has been named a winner in Artists Magazine's Artists Over 60 competition. (The award-winning piece will be featured along with a short write-up in the March/April 2023 issue of Artists Magazine.) Recent Work
Patricia's most recent work includes two new portraits in oil on linen, featuring a great horned owl and a pod of pelicans. (Both works are available for purchase.)
Also new to the gallery is a collection of small bird portraits in brown ink & wash on paper. Inspired by the brown ink pen & wash drawings of the Baroque period, Patricia was able to create her own natural brown ink by simmering black walnut hulls [...]
